ClimateThis area is one of the sunniest in the Lower Mainland, with about 20 percent more sunshine than Vancouver. Often while the rest of the region is under glowering cloud, White Rock will still be bright and clear. Temperatures seem to be a bit more moderate here as well, with summer averaging about 23 degrees Celsius and winter averaging around 6 deg C.
Being at sea level, snow is also a rarity. The white stuff can be falling up the hill in Central Surrey while it’s only misting down in White Rock. With such balmy weather, it’s no wonder that the beaches here are so popular year round.
